SING THE
MFX3
PLUS
It may be desirable to control a dub session between a source video tape machine and the ViVid using MFX3
plus
digital
audio workstation console. This is often an efficient way of working when a machine room containing the video
hardware is located a distance away from the studio containing the MFX3
plus
console.

ONNECTING THE EQUIPMENT
The four pieces of equipment, the ViVid , the MFX3
plus
, Video Sync Generator and the source video tape
deck should be connected as indicated in the diagram below -

Note: From here on, all selections and actions are to be carried out on the MFX3Plus console. For
information on configuring the ViVid's recording parameters, please consult the Recording section of this
manual.
Select - Blue+Set-up M1
Press the "Type" soft-key. Then turn the Jog wheel until the LCD beneath "Type" displays "Sony A".
Set "Lace" to Off and "Unlace" to 0 Sec.
Select - Blue+Set-up M2
Press the "Type" soft-key. Then turn the Jog wheel until the LCD beneath "Type" displays "Sony B".
