6. Operating instructions
6.4 Contact grill position (closed grilling)
This position is particularly suitable for fast, high-temperature
grilling on both sides, for example for rump steak and hamburger, as
well as the preparation of sandwiches or Paninis (Fig. 1).
1. Place the product on a level, heat-resistant, sturdy and non-slip
surface. The feet are equipped with non-slip covers.
2. Push the fat collection container (11) into the specified position of the contact grill.
Note
The oil and fat residue collected in the enclosed fat collection containers (11) cannot be
reused.
3. Open the upper casing by placing the handle (1) all the way to the top stopping point. Rub some
cooking oil on the upper and lower grill plates (3, 15). Use only as much cooking oil on the grill
plates as is needed to coat them with a thin oil film. Close the upper casing.
4. Connect the power plug to an appropriate power outlet. The red indicator light (5) will then light up.
5. Set the left temperature control (6) to the desired heat level. The bottom grilling plate (3) of the
product will heat up. The green indicator light (7) will light up as the control is turned. The same
applies to the right temperature control (8), where the upper grilling plate (15) heats up and the
blue indicator light (4) lights up. The indicator lights go out when the set temperature has been
reached.
Note
Please consider that better cooking results are achieved if the product has been preheated.
Warning – Risk of burns!
The upper casing and the area around the grilling plates (3, 15) of the product will become
very hot during the heating process.
Therefore never touch the hot surfaces of the product during the heating process or
immediately thereafter. Always touch the product on the handle (1) to open it.
6. Open the upper casing all the way to the stopping point. The upper grilling plate (15) should be in a
vertical position. We recommend using an oven cloth or heat-resistant oven glove or similar in order
to avoid burns on hands due to accidental contact with the hot surfaces.
7. Place the food to be grilled onto the bottom grilling plate (3) without adding additional fat or oil.
The food to be grilled will be cooked in its own juices and the liquid created during the cooking
process will be collected in the fat collection container (11).
8. Close the upper casing. Regulate the desired temperature, if applicable, using the temperature
controls (6, 8).
