triangle is intended to alert the user to the
presence of dangerous voltage within the unit
body that may lead to electric shock.
The exclamation mark within an equilateral
triangle points to important operating and
maintenance recommendations in the instruction
manual.
SAFETY MEASURES
Read this instruction manual carefully before using the unit
and keep it for future reference.
Use the unit for its intended purpose only, as specified in
this manual.
Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause
harm to the user or damage to his/her property.
•
Use only the power adapter supplied with the unit.
•
Before switching the clock radio on, make sure that the
operating voltage of the power adapter corresponds to
the voltage of your mains.
•
To avoid fire, do not use adapters for plugging the
unit in.
•
Do not use the unit outdoors.
•
To prevent fire or electric shock, do not expose the unit
to moisture, do not put and do not use the clock radio
in places with high humidity (near bathtubs, containers
filled with water, kitchen sinks, washing machines, near
a swimming pool, in wet basements, etc.). Protect the
unit from water dripping and splashing.
•
Place the unit with free access to the mains socket.
•
For additional protection of the unit during thunder-
storms and when you are not going to use it for a long
time, unplug the adapter. It will prevent the unit from
being damaged by lightning and power surges.
•
To unplug the unit, take the adapter; do not pull the
adapter cord.
•
To avoid electric shock, do not open the unit body by
yourself or make any changes to the electrical circuit. If
you find any damages, unplug the unit and apply to the
authorized service center.
•
Install the unit in places with proper ventilation. Do not
block the ventilation openings during the unit operation.
•
Place the clock radio on a flat stable surface, away from
the equipment with strong magnetic fields, for example,
