PROBLEM
SOLUTION
• Check antenna location, direction or CATV connections.
• Increase the volume.
• Check whether the mute function has been activated on the
Remote Control.
• Check the Picture Setup settings.
• Not plugged into AC outlet.
• Make sure that you've selected TV mode.
• Try a new channel to check for possible station trouble.
• Antenna not connected to TV RF IN terminal.
• Increase the volume.
• The antenna wires are broken.
• Check for local interference (e.g. motor and household
appliances).
• Magnetic interference from unshielded equipment.
• Turn OFF the unit for 30 minutes, then turn ON again.

• The plugs and jacks are dirty. Wipe them with a cloth slightly
moistened with alcohol.
• Clean the disc.
• There is no disc inside ("No Disc" appears on the screen).
• Make sure that the disc is inserted correctly with the label side
facing toward you.
• Clean the disc.
• A non-NTSC disc has been inserted. The unit and disc region
number are incompatible.
• Condensation may have formed inside the unit due to a sudden
change in temperature. Wait about an hour for it to clear and try
again.
The disc does not play.
Severe hum or noise is
heard.
The disc door cannot
open.
• Reset the unit. Press the STANDBY/ON button to turn off
the unit, wait for a few seconds, then restart the unit.
• The region number of the disc doesn't match the region number
of this unit.
• The function is not set to DVD mode .
