source first. If that does not solve the

recommended that the AV source
settings are set to either Dolby Digital
or to multi-channel PCM.

Even though the channel is
HD the content playing at
that time need not always
broadcast 6 channels of
audio. This is true with Music
TV channels has the content
is from heterogeneous
sources.
If you are sure that the content from the
HD channel has 6 channels of audio make
sure that the STB’s audio settings have
been set to Dolby Digital or Bitstream and
not PCM. This is true regardless of the
content being played out via digital
coax/optical or HDMI
