By-alarm
01709
Setting parameters
The detection parameters can be configured by using the keyboard 01705 or by
using the By-alarm Manager programming software.
Important
: particular care must be taken when setting impulse lengths in seconds
with a high number of repetitions: if the time taken to measure all the impulses
exceeds the time window set at 60 s the system resets the counter and does not
trigger an alarm.
Reset button
Pressing the push-button
PB1
located on the side of the card resets the micro-
processor without losing the configuration of the device and of the control panel
governing it.
ZONE BALANCING
The module has 4 input lines that are individually configurable for single, double
and triple balancing.
Single balancing
When programming the line for single balancing you need to connect a resistance
of 3.3 kΩ (orange, orange, red) in series with the normally closed output of the
switch-alarm or inertial sensor.

Double balancing
When programming the line for double balancing, two resistors must be connected,
one of 3.3 kΩ (orange, orange, red) in series with the tamper-proof line and the
other of 4.7 kΩ (green, purple, red) in parallel with the normally closed output of the
switch-alarm or inertial sensor.
In this way, by using just two wires, the control panel distinguishes the alarm status
from the line tampering status; depending on the control panel programming, you
can activate different outputs for each different alarm status detected.

Triple balancing
If the detector is provided with a masking detection output, you can make sure
that the control panel recognizes this state. To do this, three resistors must be
connected, one of 3.3 kΩ that detects tampering (orange, orange, red) in series
with the line, another of 4.7 kΩ (yellow, purple, red) in parallel with the alarm con-
tact and another of 15 kΩ (brown, green, orange) in parallel with the anti-masking
alarm contact.
In this way, by using just two wires, the control panel distinguishes between the
alarm, tampering and detector masking recognition statuses; lastly, depending on
the control panel programming, you can activate different outputs for each alarm
status detected.

INSTALLATION RULES
• Installation should be carried out in compliance with the current regulations
regarding the installation of electrical equipment in the country where the prod-
ucts are installed.
• The module can be installed on the control panels art. 01700, 01700.120, 01703,
01703.120 and on the power supply unit art. 01717, 01717.120.
• The module can be installed inside the box 01714 that, made of plastic, is
equipped with protection against opening and against tearing off the wall, thus
keeping the degree of IMQ-security systems certification of the entire system
unchanged. This enclosure is specially designed to contain all the accessory
devices of the intrusion detection alarm system.
Installation
1. Install the back of the box 01714 on the wall using a screw for fixing the
tamper.
2. Fix the springs provided on the module 01709 (conical spring on the front and
cylindrical spring on the back).
