•  In case of leakages or other malfunctions, disconnect the device immediately from the  

compressed air supply and repair the source of defect.

•  Do not use quick-release couplings directly at the tool. There must be a pressure hose of at 

least 20 cm length between the tool and the quick-release coupling.

•  Replace operating tools like adapters only when the air supplying tube is disconnected. 
•  Before oiling or replacing operating tools like adapters etc., always disconnect the pneu-

matic tool from the compressed air supply.

•  Make sure that the operating tools always are in perfect condition.
•  Only use the appropriate tools for the relevant devices.
•  Permanent vibrations may cause damage to health.
•  Pay attention to a safe hold.

5. Design and Function

Operating Instructions for brake calliper systems 

with locking device for hand brakes
•  Loosen the brake calliper and swivel it to the 

side.

•  Remove the brake pads.
•  Please make sure that there is enough space 

in the fluid reservoir for the admission of the 

brake fluid flowing back into the fluid reservoir 

when turning back the brake piston.

•  Choose an appropriate adapter and fix it to 

the magnetic adapter (fig. 1).

•  Connect the tool to the compressed air supply.  

 NOTE: Make sure that the pressure does not exceed 8 bar!

•  Press the release button (2) and use the operating lever (3) in order 

to move the spindle (5) forward or backward to insert the tool into 

the brake calliper.

•  Press the button (4) and the operating lever (3) to reset/rotate the 

brake piston. (fig. 2)

•  After turning the piston backwards, press the button (2) and use 

the operating lever (3) in order to pull the spindle (5) backwards to 

remove the tool from the brake calliper (fig. 3)

•  It is absolutely necessary to consider the regulations of the manufacturer.

•  Fix the suitable adapter to the basic appliance and insert 

the tool into the brake calliper.

•  Close up the spindle in order to set back the piston into its 

original position. 

•  Remove the tool, install the brake calliper with the brake 

pads and check the brake fluid level as well as the brak
