DANGER
Leaks in the gas supply and exhaust
system can cause gas to escape!
Risk to life due to explosion or
poisoning
► No naked flames; do not smoke.
► Shut down machine; switch on
ventilation.
► Leave the danger zone.
► Call maintenance service.
WARNING

► Pay particular attention to the
safety instructions in section 3.
Keep a written record of operation (operating log
– see
appendix 8.1) of the EM-530/660 (versions SCR and
SCR-ready). To do so, either ask your service partner
for the CHP unit operating log booklet or copy the form
in the appendix and fill it out.
5.1
Switching on
(1) Check that all safety equipment is installed and
fully functional. The gas tap must be open. The
gas pressure must be 30-50 mbar.
(2) Turn the heating mode selection switch on the
control panel to the left to the MANUAL position
(internal control), then press the F3 function key on
the programming and display unit
– the CHP unit
starts up.
(3) To start the CHP unit via a higher ranking control
system, turn the heating mode selection switch to
the AUTO position (external control)
– the CHP
unit will start when the start signal is triggered by
the control system.
(4) Operating values are updated and shown on the
display.
(5) After switching on, carry out a visual inspection for
leaks.
WARNING
Leaks and breakage can cause oil
and steam to escape!
