With an impeller air speed meter, check the air
speed (or the air flow rate directly) at the supply air
and extract air vents. Observe the instructions of
the test equipment manufacturer.
Record actual values in the commissioning report.
Note
Use measuring funnel
B
for supply air and extract
air valves. This enables the entire air flow rate at
the annular gap of the supply air/extract air valve to
be captured.
The measuring funnel may not be suitable for
larger supply air and extract air apertures (e.g.
floor outlets). Take several measurements across
the area. Calculate the average value of the meas-
urements.
3.
Determine the deviation between the calculated
(from engineering plans) and actual air flow rates.
4.
Adjust the supply air/extract air vents in accord-
ance with the deviation.
Record the new aperture widths/annular gap in the
commissioning report.
5.
Repeat the air speed test. Check readjustment.
Record the new values in the commissioning
report.
6.
Fix the aperture width on the supply air/extract air
vent after the final adjustment (if necessary secure
with a locknut).
