Hole in air hose Replace air hose.
Check valve restricted Remove, clean or replace.
Air leaks Tighten fittings.
Restricted air intake filter Change air intake filter.
Regulator knob has
continuous air leak Regulator is damaged Replace.
Regulator will not shut
off air outlet Regulator is damaged Replace.
Moisture in pump
crankcase Unit operating in damp or humid
conditions Move unit to a dry well-ventilated
area.
Motor will not run Check valve restricted Remove, clean or replace.
Motor overload protection switch
has tripped Let the motor be cooled to lower
the temperature
Loose electrical connections Contact an authorized service
center.
Possible defective motor or
starting capacitor Contact an authorized service
center.
Fuse blown, circuit breaker
tripped Check fuse box for blown fuse and
replace as necessary. Reset circuit
breaker. Do not use a fuse or
circuit breaker with higher rating
than that specified for your
particular branch circuit.
Check for proper fuse. Use only a
time delay fuse.
Check for low voltage conditions
and/or proper extension cord.
Disconnect the other electrical
appliances from circuit or operate
the air compressor on its own
branch circuit.
Tank pressure exceeds pressure
switch cut-in pressure Motor will start automatically when
tank pressure drops below cut-in
pressure of pressure switch.
Pressure release valve on
pressure switch has not
unloaded head pressure Set the pressure switch to off. If the
valve does not open, replace
switch. Contact an authorized
service center.
