2 Getting started
2.1 Hardware installation
The V-Tap ISDN PRI is easy to setup. The following steps are involved:
•
The jumpers inside must be set to the right mode; default on Sniff.
•
Connect the Trunk and PBX to the ISDN ports of the V-Tap.
•
Insert an SD card (up to 32 GB, FAT32 formatted).
•
Connect the USB to the V-Tap for power.
•
Connect the local network.
•
Access the settings in the web interface by using a browser.
The two possible modes of operation (Sniff or Pass-Through) must be set
with the internal jumpers and are described in
2.1.1 and 2.1.2 .
The two possible ways of connecting the V-Tap PRI physically to the E1
line (Parallel or In-Line) are shown in
2.1.3 and 2.1.4 .
