10 Setup
The
SETUP
menu is used to access the CD writer functions and all system configuration options. Once in
the menu system, a number of the keys have dedicated functions for navigation around the menu. The
functions of these keys are described on this page. There is a summary of the menu system in section 1.6,
and more details in the following section of this manual [pending up-issue]. Due to the regular addition of
software enhancements, there may be some differences between the menu items detailed in this manual
and in your VDM Digital Recorder.
10.1 Navigating the menus
Enter the menu system by pressing the
SETUP
key:

You navigate through the menu by means of the UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT keys.

Where numbers need to be entered, the camera keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 are used (the 10 key is
used to enter zero).

Some actions require the
YES
key to be pressed:

If an action is not required, the
NO
key should be pressed (or the BACK key):

In most cases, a default option can be selected by pressing the
DEFAULT
key. In some cases, press this
key again to toggle between alternative default settings:
DEFAULT
To exit the menu from anywhere within it, press the
SETUP
key. Any changes that have been made will be
saved, and a message will momentarily appear on the bottom left of the screen to confirm this.
