Creating a Configuration
The configuration file defines the hardware configuration including the
keypads, cameras and monitors, alarm operation and other information
required by the system. Note that you must have a database file open when
defining the configuration.
Note:
The Pilot Lite has been configured with system defaults that should
satisfy most installations with no need for further customization. For many
users, it might not be necessary to modify the configuration with the
Configurator.
The following paragraphs guide you through the process of defining a
configuration for your system.
Notes:
1. The following paragraphs provide instructions for creating a
configuration file using the Options Wizard. If you are a more
experienced user, you can click on any of the fields or field items and
make changes within the table. You can type in the values directly as
shown in the options text in the onscreen prompts.
2. The system uses NTSC as the default video format. If you are setting
up a PAL system, navigate to Tools\Global Settings and set the
NTSC or PAL field to PAL prior to creating a configuration.
