• Keep the power cord and plug always clean and dry.
• The appliance cord must not be covered with throw rugs, runners
or similar. Arrange the cord away from the traffic area, and where it
will not be tripped over.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the authorized
service centre.
• To unplug the appliance do not pull the power cord.
• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after
its malfunctions, or has been dropped, or damaged in any manner.
• Close lid tightly for avoiding scalds caused by splashing of boiling
water out.
• The appliance gets hot during operation. Do not touch the body of
the appliance.
• Do not use the appliance in the rooms with explosive gas or while
using inflammable solvents, varnish or glue.
• WARNING: do not use this appliance near water. Do not use this
appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing
water.
• Do not immerse the appliance or its base, cord and plug into water.
If the appliance or its base fell down into water, unplug it immediately,
take it out. Do not use the appliance, but bring it to authorized service
center for checking.
• Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
• Do not use the appliance on a damp floor.
• Do not use the appliance with the damaged wall outlet.
• Any examination, repair or adjustment must be done in an autho

rized service center. Do not repair the appliance by yourself! If the
opening of the appliance is detected, the appliance's guarantee will
be canceled.
• Do not use the appliance near or on the hot surfaces.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or touch any
hot surfaces.
• Do not cover the appliance by any items (blanket, towel, etc.) to
avoid fire.
• Keep the appliance 1 meter away from the combustible materials
such as furniture, cushions, bedding, paper, clothes, curtains, etc.
• Let the appliance cool down.
• Never immerse the appliance, base, cord with plug into water or
any other liquid.
• Always be sure that electrical connections of the appliance are
remaining absolutely dry.
• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth.
• For the scale cleaning you can use special descaler for kettles or
use vinegar as follows:
- fill the kettle up to "MAX"- level with a mixture of one part ordinary
vinegar and two parts water, switch on and boil the mixture,
- let the mixture remain inside the appliance overnight,
- pour the mixture away and rinse the appliance well for several times
to get rid of the vinegar smell,
- fill the appliance with clean water up to "MAX"- level and boil
again,
- pour away this boiled water,
- rinse the inside of the appliance with clean water.
ATTENTION! Spend descaling indoors with good ventilation.
• Ensure that the outside and the electrical connection parts of the
appliance are completely dry before the use.
Note:
the scale appearance while appliance exploitation is not con-
struction defect, but depends on the water quality of your area. Clean
the scale in time.
• Store the appliance in cool dry place, far from children.
GENERAL PRECAUTION
• The appliance is for home use only. Do not use for industrial pur -
pose.
• Before the first operating make sure that the voltage in your wall
outlet is the same as on the appliance’s rating label marked.
• Before using an extension cord, make sure it is suitable for such a
load, otherwise it may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
• Do not leave your home while the appliance is in function.
• Use the appliance only with the base supplied, and do not use the
base for any other purposes.
