3. r ailoc in operation
3.1 Test instruction
The mechanical strength of the system was tested by the Liftinstituut during the type
examination. In the course of the recurring inspection of the system, it is not necessary/
permitted to put on the car or counterweight. The pure function test is sufficient.
The r ailoc should protect life and limb. It is accepted that in the event of a collision with the
r ailoc, the components involved can be damaged by the one-sided load.
The r ailoc manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage to components
caused by impact.
3.2 Maintenance
The maintenance of the r ailoc or the entire system which represents the safety concept should
be subject to maintenance and inspection at least once a year.
The following checks must be carried out for maintenance:
 Strength of the clamp connections
 Visual inspection of the touchdown buffers

Movability of the pawl
 Visual inspection of the compression spring
 Functionality of the control lamp
 Visual inspection of the switch below the latch
 Visual inspection of the spring finger switch (inspection limit switch)
 Cleanliness of the electrical protective space latch
Before entering the shaft, make sure that the green indicator light confirms the
"Safe" status!
