Replacing the needle

Attention:

Turn the power switch to off ("O")

when carrying out any of the above

operations!

Change the needle regularly, especially

when it shows signs of wear or if it

causes problems.
Insert the needle following the

illustrated instructions.
1. Turn the handwheel towards you

(counterclockwise) lowering, then

raising the needle. Turn the needle

clamp screw counterclockwise to

remove the needle. The flat side

of the shaft should be positioned

towards the back.

2. Insert the needle up as far as it

goes. Then tighten the needle

clamp.
