5. Operation
Only qualified persons are permitted to operate the excavator with CAG.
Proceed with care! The excavator and the Connect’o’maat® adapter plates with grab
suspension are not indestructible!
Note:
As soon as the excavator is used as a crane and will be used to lift loads of more
than 1000 kg, the excavator must comply with the requirements for lifting
machinery. These are given in standard EN 474-5. If necessary, consult your
excavator supplier.
Use the following instruction for using the Connect’o’maat® adapter plates with grab
suspension:
1. Check that the maximum permissible lifting load of the grab or piece of equipment is
smaller then the maximum permissible load of the grab suspension.
2. Lift straight up only. The grab suspension of the Connect’o’maat® adapter plates
must not be loaded laterally.
3. Make sure that the bucket cylinder is not completely retracted.

4. Never exceed the maximum permissible lifting load of Connect’o’maat® adapter
plates! See chapter 1.
5. Never exceed the maximum permissible lifting load of the grab suspension! Consult
the table for the maximum lifting load.
