4. INSTALL HOOD MOUNTING BRACKET
Locate the top of the wood wall framing at 47” from cooktop (see illustration at
right). Once wall surface is finished, carefully trace a center line over
installation location, then trace a level line at 45” from cooktop. Center and level
the hood mounting bracket, secure it to wall framing with 3 no. 8 x 1¼” flat head
mounting screws.

5. INSTALL UPPER FLUE MOUNTING BRACKET
Center the bracket over the hood location and place it flush with the ceiling.
Make sure that the slots of the upper flue bracket point down. Use the
upper flue mounting bracket as a template to mark the position of its
screws. Remove the mounting bracket.
Drill both screw holes using a 5/16” drill bit. Insert the included drywall
anchors into the drilled holes (one per hole).
Secure the upper flue bracket to the wall using 2 no. 8 x 1¼” flat head
mounting screws. Make sure that the bracket is thight against the wall.

Install a wood wall framing between 2 wall studs over the installation location. The framing must be
at least 3” high since it will support both hood and lower flue brackets (welded on lower flue).
NOTE:
The framing (shaded part in illustration at right) must be flush with the wall studs surface.
