If you need to shorten the seatbelts further, you can undo the seatbelt mounting bolt under the seat
and using a bradawl or red hot phillips screwdriver tip, poke a new hole through where suitable and
then remount.
7.8 Using the rain cover
The rain cover comes as standard with a new Velo Cargo. It has zips at each end for access,
however it is best not to encourage the use of these if you have small children as they can easily
break the zips by forcing themselves in and out of the cargo box.
The best way to fit the rain cover is to make sure both zips are done up, and hook it over the front
frame hoop and then pull it down over the rear as showing in the photo sequence below. Take care to
ensure that the Velcro straps are at the rear as these are used to fix the raincover in position around
the base of the handlebars.
7.9 Removing the seats
Both of the front seats can be completely removed. To do this, undo the Phillips screw on either side
of the seat (inside the cargo box). The seats then withdraw including the lower section of the seatbelt.
Refitting is the reverse of removal.
