3.2 Power Supply
Connect one end of the included 9V power adapter with the camera cable plug and the other with a wall outlet (see
original manual figure 14).
The Water-Resistant Tape
Wrap the connection between the camera cable and the adapter cable in water-resistant tape to protect that
connection against dust and water. Remove the release liner and twist the tape around the connection in a spiralling
motion. Make sure the tape is tight enough and keep the surface as smooth as possible.
3.3 Fine-Tuning
1) First of all you should make sure the camera is firmly mounted on the ball joint (see original manual, figure 16).
2) Loosen the screw as indicated in figure 15 of the original manual.
3) Aim the camera and fasten the screw.
Other applications
Recording on a VCR
The monitor is equipped with A/V jacks to allow connection to a VRC in order to record the camera picture.
Connect the yellow and white plugs of an A/V cable (not included) with the white and yellow A/V jacks at the back of
the monitor and insert the yellow and white plug at the other end in the white and yellow input jacks of the VCR (see
original manual figure 17).
Only audio
You can turn off the screen so that only sound is recorded. Just press the ON/OFF button on the front panel of the
monitor as depicted in figure 18 of the original manual.
Using Several Cameras
You can use up to 4 cameras with a single monitor (4 channels); the monitor is equipped with an auto sequence
function. The dwell time is adjustable via DIP switch 5 (4 or 8 seconds).
REMARK:
the monitor will display the selected channels sequentially. The monitor will display the same channel
continuously if only 1 channel is selected. The monitor automatically displays channel 1 if no channel is selected.
EXAMPLE:
you have 2 wireless cameras that are set, respectively, to channels 1 & 3 and that you want to watch
sequentially. Put DIP switches 1 & 3 in the ON position and place DIP switch 5 in the ON position for a dwell time of
8 seconds or in the OFF position for a dwell time of 4 seconds.
DEACTIVATING THE AUTO SEQUENCE FUNCTION:
put the channel you want to watch in the ON position and
make sure the rest of them are OFF (the position of switch 5 doesn't matter in this case).
Troubleshooting
There is no signal :
•
Make sure the same channel is selected on the camera and the monitor.
•
Make sure the power plugs are pushed all the way in.
•
If the monitor is battery-powered: check to see if the batteries need to be replaced.
•
If you have no picture or a poor one: check the SCREEN ON/OFF button on the front panel, or adjust the V-
HOLD/CONTRAST/BRIGHTNESS button at the back of the monitor.
