No COMS on Veeder-Root Interface side. If the Tx/Rx LEDs are not flashing rapidly then there is a COM issue.
To fix this, check the following:
- Visual observations of LEDs on the ProtoNode (see “LED Diagnostics for Communications Between
ProtoNode and Devices” on page 22)
- Check baud rate, parity, data bits, stop bits
- Check device address
- Verify wiring
- Verify the device was listed in the Web Configurator (see “Setting ProtoNode Active Profiles” on page 16).

Field COM problems:
- Visual observations of LEDs on the ProtoNode (see “LED Diagnostics for Communications Between
ProtoNode and Devices” on page 22)
- Verify IP Address setting
- Verify wiring
If the problem persists, a Diagnostic Capture needs to be taken and sent to support. (See
“Taking a FieldServer Diagnostic Capture” on page 23).
