CONNECTING THE POWER DATA CABLE TO NAVIGATION UNITS
PC 3000 / SY587
When performing the installation of the Tuner Box to either the PC 3000 or SY587 navigation
computers it is necessary to modify the connection cable. Please follow these instructions for
installation carefully, failure to do so will result in the non-function of the Tuner Box and
navigation computer.
Remove the green connector block C2 from the power data cable. (Fig. 4)
Secure the
red
wire to the
pink
wire B1 (refer to the cable installation diagram of the
navigation manual). (Fig. 5)
Secure the
white
wire to the
brown/ pink
wire B9 (refer to the cable installation diagram
of the navigation manual). (Fig. 5)
Connect the signal cable to point B on the rear of the navigation unit. (Fig. 6)
Connect the white connector block of the power data cable to the power/data socket of
the Tuner Box. (Fig. 6)
Reconnect your car battery terminals. (Fig. 7)
- After performing this procedure ensure that all wires not in use are safely secured and screened.
CONNECTING AN ANTENNA TO THE TUNER BOX
If your current antenna does not have a Din type adapter, please use the antenna adapter supplied.
Insert the antenna adapter into the ‘antenna’ socket of the Tuner Box.
Ensure that there is a distance of 40mm between the the antenna and the window surround.
To install and connect the Powered FM Antenna, please refer to the separate mounting instruction.

THE ON/OFF LED
The ON/OFF LED is located on the front side face of the Tuner Box.
The LED’s function provides the user with a visual indication of the status of the Tuner Box.
The LED will become active when the ignition is switched on and initialization of the unit occurs.
The LED will remain illuminated whilst the unit is functioning and the car ignition is on.
The LED will cease to function when the ignition is switched off and the unit’s power has dissipated.
This procedure will usually take about 5 seconds.
