Symptoms

Guidance advice does not
correspond with actual traffic
situation.
It is possible that the car position calculated by the navigation
system is currently wrong.
The route may have been changed and does not correspond with
the information stored on the map CD.
The time in the “GPS/Compass”
information menu is incorrect.
Set the correct time zone in the “System settings – Date / Time”
menu.
Estimated time of arrival is wrong in
the guidance screen.
Check that the correct time zone in the “System settings – Date /
Time” menu is set.
TMC icon in the “Traffic info” menu
is always coarsely shaded, no traffic
info is displayed.
The inserted map CD does not support TMC.
Insert a map CD which supports TMC.
TMC icon in the “Traffic info” menu
is finely shaded.
TMC reception is interfered / obstructed or you are located in an
area in which no RDS station broadcasts TMC information.
C-IQ
During guidance, no traffic
information is displayed, even
though a TMC extension is
connected to the system.
You do not have a C-IQ Traffic info product activated.
• Contact C-IQ service to activate C-IQ Traffic info contents.
No more directions shortly after
crossing the border. Only the
direction arrow is appearing in the
guidance screen.
You are travelling in a country for which you do not have activated
C-IQ map contents.
• Contact C-IQ Service to activate map data for the required
country.
Display shows “Please insert correct
CD”.
• Check that you have inserted a map CD which contains C-IQ
data. Map CDs without C-IQ will not be accepted by the system.
