Hard disk option
The optional hard disk is also located
underneath the shielding cover and
has a capacity of 5 Gbytes. The pres-
ence of the hard disk is automatically
detected by the
NCTerm software and
the
PROVILite PROVILite PROVILite PROVILite
software decoder. The
menu structure in these cases is ex-
tended by the fields for recording and
playback.
Recording
In the recording menu you can define
in detail when data is to be recorded
onto the hard disk. The period can be
defined for which the recording is ac-
tive, and it is possible to differentiate
between weekdays and weekends. You
can also set different start and stop
conditions which refer e.g. to alarm in-
puts. Periodic recording is alternately
possible at different intervals with se-
lectable repetitions.
A differentiation is always made be-
tween the recording of individual pic-
tures and a continuous sequence of
moving pictures. A further option for
repeated recording conditions is that
the oldest recording is overwritten,
thus simulating a cyclic recording on a
continuous tape. The last option is that
the camera sequence can be defined,
so that several camera pictures can be
recorded in a specific sequence.
Playback
Saved pictures can be selected and
played back in this menu. During play-
back of a file it is possible to jump to
different positions or to halt the play-
back. Files which are no longer re-
quired can be deleted.
Various parameters are available for
selecting files such as the date range,
the time range, and the recording type
so as to facilitate the finding of pic-
tures.
The files which correspond to the file
selection are displayed in a directory. A
file can be played back following mark-
ing, spooled to a particular position, or
completely deleted.
