8. Troubleshooting
PROBLEM: Vacuum cleaner won't run
Cause:
Power cord not firmly pushed into mains socket, or socket switch is off.
Solution:
Plug the cord in firmly to the power outlet and turn socket on.
Cause:
Blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
Solution:
Check fuse/breaker. Replace fuse or re-set breaker.
Cause:
Thermal cut-out operates.
Solution:
Switch off vacuum cleaner and unplug from mains socket. Leave vacuum cleaner for at least
one hour, clean filters and clear any blockages.
Cause:
Main on/off button not pressed.
Solution:
Press main on/off button then the remote on/off button on handle.
Cause:
Remote button does not work.
Solution:
Change batteries in handle, or check that the Infra-red transmitter/receiver is not blocked.
PROBLEM: Vacuum cleaner won't pick up/loss of suction
Cause:
Dirt container full or blocked.
Solution:
Empty the dirt container.
Cause:
Hose clogged.
Solution:
Remove obstruction.
Cause:
Pre-filter is clogged.
Solution:
Tap clean, wash and dry or replace filter.
Cause:
Dirt container not installed properly.
Solution:
Re-install the dirt container.
Cause:
TurboBrush not installed properly and/or blocked.
Solution:
Check for blockages and check that the catches are correctly returned to position.
Cause:
Turbotool
TM
is not installed properly and/or blocked.
Solution:
Check for blockages and check that the locking ring is correctly returned to position.
Cause:
Exhaust filter clogged.
Solution:
Contact your nearest service agent.
Cause:
Dirt container cyclones are blocked.
Solution:
Remove rubber end caps, clear any blockages and replace.
PROBLEM: Accessories won’t pick up
Cause:
Accessories are not attached correctly.
Solution:
Refer to section 4.
