Troubleshooting and service
This chapter describes troubleshooting and service.
Troubleshooting, fault diagnosis
After performing a repair, check all calibration settings (see §3.9) and preform a re-calibration if
needed. The following repairs may require re-calibration:
•
X-ray tube is exchange
•
Power LED replacement
•
Bucky laser replacement
•
Plexiglas window replacement
•
Mirror (assembly) replacement
In case a fault condition is detected, the color of the status LED (
30/40 Series only
) will change and an
error code is displayed. The table below provides explanations and instructions for troubleshooting.
Error codes are listed in §7.2.

OFF
Explanation
Collimator power Supply is cut-off. (No power supply)
Instructions
1.
Check if the Collimator is connected to the power supply.
YES: Proceed with the next step.
NO: Connect the power supply. The Collimator will now preform a self-
test (Green, flashing, LED). After the self-test, proceed with step 5.
2.
Disconnect the power supply Collimator for 1 minute (fuse reset)
3.
Reconnect the power supply. The Collimator will perform a self-test (Green,
flashing, LED).
4.
Check if the status LED is ON
YES (LED ON): Proceed with step 5.
NO: (LED OFF): Contact your distributor or Varex Imaging Nederland
B.V.
5.
Check if the collimator is functioning properly, see §5.2
OPERATING MODE: Problem solved
ERROR MODE: See applicable Status LED indication for follow up.

Explanation
Fault condition is detected by the collimator. The collimator is not able to perform
as expected. The first detected fault condition is displayed on the touch screen.
Instructions
Select the following on the touch screen:
Restart the collimator.
