Field size display and selection
The field size is displayed in the left and right bottom corners of the touch screen. Indicated by the
Long and Cross symbols on the Collimator front. The displayed value is only correct when the SID
value is correctly entered.
Selection of the field size
The field size can be selected by 3 methods which are explained further in this section:
1.
Manually adjusting the field size by turning the control knobs.
2.
Set the field size by predefined values.
3.
Set the field size manually by entering the field size values.
For each field size selection method, the corresponding value is displayed as previous described in
this section and the shutters are moving to the desired position.
Method 1. Manually adjusting the field size by turning the control knobs
The field size can be adjusted manually by turning the control knobs just below the touch
screen. Each control knob controls the shutter pair as is indicated by the symbol above the
control knob.
Method 2. Set the field size by predefined values
The collimator has a number of pre-set values for selecting the field size.
