4. Safety and Warranty Information
Procedure
• Inspect all packaging and verify that all required components are present, intact, and
undamaged.
If damage to packaging or contents is apparent, contact Varex immediately. Do not
proceed with installation or service if any component or cable is missing or damaged.
• Check the components received with the items on the packing list to verify receipt of all
items.
• Do not discard the packaging and leave electronic devices in the original anti-static bags
until needed for installation.
• Handle all equipment carefully, following all cautions and warnings that appear on the
packaging.
• Allow all equipment to acclimate to the operational environment.
Flat panel detectors often require time to acclimate to the environment. Check the
manual shipped with the detector.
Installation and service training
All Varex systems must be installed, maintained, and serviced by personnel who have been
trained by or on behalf of Varex.
Training may be obtained from Varex directly or through a training provider authorized by
Varex to provide service and technical training for the system.
Installation, maintenance, or service of by untrained or unauthorized personnel may void the
product warranty, result in additional service or support charges, or both. Evidence of training
must be provided on request.
