Some gloves have knuckle protection. The knuckle
protection must cover all four finger joints and provides
limited impact absorption plus abrasion protection for
the back of the hand in the event of an accident or falling
off the motorcycle, when the rider’s hands may hit the
road and slide across the road surface.
Gloves with knuckle protection are labelled “KP” in the
CE pictogram.
Even if the protective gloves fulfil “Performance class 2” in some of
the required tests, the overall performance may still be classified as
“Performance class 1”. The overall performance is classified based on
the lowest result from all the required tests.

product-specific section within this user information.
