RadioLink ScenePoint DR Station — MODEL: RDR<XXXX>

Overview
The Vantage RadioLink ScenePoint DR (dual relay) station is a
single gang wall box configuration containing two relays. It
may be ganged with additional ScenePoint Stations up to 4
gangs. It is powered via the local line feed, and communicates
with the system through RadioLink. Before the relay is
programmed, the relays function in default mode as

independent

 toggle relays or

interlocked

 toggle relays. Once a

button is programmed it can perform any operation a standard
station supports controlling its own or other loads. The
ScenePoint station’s relay loads can be controlled by any other
keypad, IR input or timed event. It supports up to six buttons
per station and an optional internal IR receiver. Switch
between interlock and non-interlock operation modes via a
switch located on the back of the station (station is shipped in

interlocked

 mode).

System Requirements
InFusion Design Center Software must be used to program the
station. The InFusion System must be RadioLink enabled using
the RFE1000 RadioLink Enabler from Vantage.

Installation
Installation of Vantage products should be performed or
supervised by a

Certified Vantage Installer. Turn the circuit

breaker off and make sure no voltage is present where the
relay station is to be mounted

. Damage caused by failure to

disconnect power may void the warranty and is a risk to the
installer. This station requires Neutral to operate. The Green
ground lead must be connected to the structure’s safety
ground.

NOTE:  When used as a shade controller only connect one
shade per station. Multiple shades connected to one station
may not stay synchronized and other malfunctions may occur.

THE BLIND’S LIMIT SWITCHES MUST BE SET BEFORE
INSTALLING FOR BLIND CONTROL!

Minimum Back Box Dimensions
For single gang: 2.80”h x 1.80”w x 2.5”d – UL requires one-half
inch clearance between the back of the station to the back of
the back box.

Most standard back boxes that have the receiving threads for
the dimmer mounting screw inside the box will be adequate.
Most back boxes where the receiving threads are outside the
box will be too small.

In some areas local codes may require that the low voltage
wiring be connected outside of the electrical box. A groove is
provided in the relay station to route the station bus outside of
the electrical box. See detailed drawing at end of instructions.

Mud Rings
If mud rings are specified on a job it is important to test the
mud rings for proper fit. Some mud rings run substantially
smaller than back boxes and are not large enough for the
station. The

only solution

is to test the fit first.

3-Way Switch Application
A ScenePoint DR Station may be used in any 3-way
application. When installing a ScenePoint DR station, as a 3-
way switch, the Red and Red/White (Loads Out) wires are not
connected and are properly capped-off.

ScenePoint Relay Station Set Up with Design Center
First select the room, then click on

Vantage Objects

in the

Object Explorer

 and expand

Stations, RadioLink

. From the list

of stations double click on the

ScenePoint DR Station

 to place

it in the room. In the

Object Editor

 name the station and make

sure it is on the correct RadioLink station bus port.

Configuration
RadioLink stations need to be configured to associate which
physical station goes with the station in software. When the
station is initially powered-up, the Status LED will blink three
times followed by a pause - this means the station is powered
correctly but not yet on the network.

Before

 uploading the file

to the Vantage system, do the following: From Design Center,
click in the

Serial Number

 section in the

Object Editor

 and type

in the serial number. The serial number of each station is
located on a permanent sticker and a removable sticker on the
front of the station. Remove the sticker with the number only
and place on the Station Design Report for easy reference
when programming. The Main Controller will properly initialize
all the RadioLink stations that it has serial numbers for. This
may take several minutes depending on the number of
RadioLink stations on the network. The Status LED will blink
steadily when a station has been added to the network and
configured.

Operation Modes
Non-Interlocked Mode –

SWITCH ON BACK RIGHT POSITION:

This provides two independent relay loads. Each load is
controlled independent of the other load. Two buttons are
selected at final assembly to control the two loads. Typically
button one controls load one and button two controls load
two. The default mode is automatically disabled when the
station is configured.
