Alternator Failure 

1. VP200 EMERGENCY ......................................... SELECT “ALT FAIL”

The VP200 will ask whether IMC or VMC conditions are 
present. Simply select either, as both load-shed tables are 
configured the same. 
Also, this may take up to 30seconds, as the system tries 
resetting the Alternator field first.

NOTE 

 

- An Alternator failure will be primarily recognizable by a lower 
than normal bus voltage. (<12.8VDC) 
- The VP200 does NOT automatically initiate any action, 
although it alerts about the lower than normal bus voltage. 
- The VP200 is preconfigured for easy load shedding. 
- However at all times, manual control over each device is 
possible.

powered by the main system:
