PORTABOOM® PACK UP INSTRUCTIONS
1.
Ensure Tower is turned on.
2.
Remove sandbags from stability legs and stow on vehicle (if applicable).
3.
Remove sand bag hooks from stability legs and stow in the side pocket of the carry bag
(if applicable).
4.
Remove the unit number magnet from the Tower and put magnet and remote control in
the side pocket of the carry bag.
5.
Loosen stability legs wing nut and with both hands and raise to the highest point and
fasten into recess.
6.
Disable brakes.
7.
Reposition the PORTABOOM® Tower clockwise parallel to the shoulder/kerb, ensuring the shaft is
facing the footpath.
8.
Enable brakes.
9.
Lower the Boom Arm.
10.
Unbuckle the STOP sign and stow on vehicle.
11.
Loosen Boom Arm wing
nuts and slide the Boom Arm extension into the fixed section.
12.
Hand tighten Boom Arm wing
nuts to secure Boom Arm in place.
13.
Raise the Boom Arm to vertical position.
14.
Turn Tower off.
15.
Lock the small panel.
16.
Place remote into pocket of carry bag (ensuring the spare remote and small panel key
are also stored in the carry bag pocket).
17.
Unwind Boom Arm locking mechanism.
18.
Holding the Boom Arm firmly push Boom Arm in towards the Tower.
19.
Position Boom Arm anticlockwise to 45 degrees.
20.
Lift slightly and then carefully remove Boom Arm off the shaft.
21.
Place Boom Arm in Carry bag and zip to close.
22.
Disable brakes on Tower.
23.
Reposition the Tower to a safe level surfaced area ready for loading.
24.
Enable brakes.
