Setting Alignment Cable Tension (continued)

8. Measure and record the distance from the truss spreader to the span pipe. This is the DEFLECTED mea-

surement. See Figure 86-1.

9. Subtract the DEFLECTED measurement from the ORIGINAL measurement. The difference should be ap-

proximately 1-3/4 in to 2 in (41 mm to 51 mm), if it’s not, the hook bolts should be adjusted. See Figure 86-1.

of alignment cables is achieved and both the T-
Bars are perpendicular (90 degrees) to the span
pipe. See Figure 86-2.

11. After adjustment, tighten all hook bolt hardware

ment cables.
