The Expanda hood unzips, increasing the size of your standard 

hood to give greater coverage and protection from the sun and 

weather for your child.

To open the Expanda Hood:

42. Locate the zip in the center of the Expanda Hood and unzip 

completely

43. Gently pull the Expanda Hood forward until it is reaches its 

full extension.

To close the Expanda Hood:

44. Gently push the Expanda Hood back, allowing the middle 

section to fold in on itself.

45. Carefully zip the Expanda Hood closed.

IMPORTANT: ALWAYS TAKE CARE WHEN CLOSING THE  

EXPANDA HOOD TO AVOID THE zIPPER CATCHING ON THE 

ENCLOSED FABRIC

Your Expanda hood is fitted with a front accessory zip system 

which is used with a variety of handy optional accessories 

these include our Valco 80% UV Zip in Mesh, Valco 

Raincover and more

TO ATTACH OR REMOVE THE ACCESSORY:

46.  Insert the zip track at the front of the Expanda 

hood into the zip housing of the accessory. When 

together, zip the length of the hood. Secure the sides of 

the accessory to the stroller frame match up the snaps with 

the corresponding snap mates on the underside of the stroller 

frame and snap into place.

47. To secure the foot of the accessory to the stroller, pull the 

elastic foot over the end of the stroller, and use the snaps 

on the foot tabs to snap to the corresponding snap mates on 

underside of the stroller frame.

48. Your stroller is equipped with a removable ‘seat pad with 

infant head hugger’ and shoulder harness covers. The head 

hugger is designed to optimise the comfort of newborn babies 

within the stroller. The Universal Head Hugger comes in two 

parts: the seat pad and the infant head hugger.  The infant 

head hugger fits snuggly into the seat pad.

49. Make sure the Harness is unfastened. Place seat pad into 

stroller. Thread the Harness buckle through the opening in the 

seat pad. Release the Velcro fastening at the shoulder of the 

seat pad. Pass the shoulder harness strap to the front of the 

seat pad and reseal the Velcro. Repeat for other side. Position 

the infant head hugger. Release the Velcro fastening at the 

shoulder of the infant head hugger. Pass the shoulder harness 

strap to the front and reseal the Velcro. Repeat for other side. 

If required, adjust length of the harness so it fits snuggly but 

not too tightly to child. To avoid damage to clothes, check that 

all Velcro has been fastened and covered completely by the 

pads. As your infant grows, remove the infant head hugger 

when no longer needed by reversing the process.
