5 Maintenance
5.1 Changing the filter
Over time the probe
filt
er will be contaminated with matter that you cannot remove by
cleaning. This affec ts the probe's response time and measurement accuracy. Remove the old
filt er from the probe and replace it with a new one.
Note the following precautions:
Avoid touching the sensor. CAUTION!
Do not try to clean the filt er. CAUTION!
5.2 Error messages
If HM70 displays an error message, check fir st that the sensor is connected properly. If there is
condensed water in the probe, let the probe dry before resuming measurement.
In case of constant error, contact Vaisala (see Technical support (page 20) ).
5.3 Changing the rechargeable battery pack
• New rechargeable battery pack
• Medium-sized fla t head screwdriver
In case you are installing a rechargeable battery pack in the MI70 indicator and you have a
device with alkaline batteries, remove the metal contact from the probe port end of the
battery compartment before installing the battery pack.
1. Open the back plate of the indicator by opening the screw of the back plate.
2. Remove the old battery pack. Detach the black connector by carefully pulling it up from
the wires.
