5 Electrical installation
5.1 Mains connection for VER 75/4 - 200/4
>
Connect the unit to 230 V~ with the mains plug. The
unit has protective insulation; a protective conductor
is therefore not provided.
5.2 Mains connection for VER 240/4

taken by an recognised expert technician

Always switch off the power supply before
carrying out electric installation work.

Make sure that the mains supply cannot be
switched on again inadvertently.

The VER 240/4 electrical room heater is con-
nected via a 2-pole mains connection line.
>
For the power supply, connect the VER
240/4 electrical room heater to a fixed con-
nection socket via the 2-pole mains con-
nection line. Protect this connection as
specified in the technical data.
>
The VER 240/4 unit must be able to be
switched off by means of a separator with
a contact opening of at least 3 mm (e.g.
fuses or circuit breakers).
The connection cable is unit specific.
The connection cable may only be replaced by a recog-
nised expert technician company. Only genuine Vaillant
special cable may be used.
6 Start-up
6.1 Check the function of the unit
>
Start up the unit in accordance with the instructions
in the relevant operating manual.
>
Check the function of the electrical room heater.
>
Hand over the unit to the operator.
7 Handing over the appliance to the
operator
You must brief the operator of the unit on the handling
and function of their electrical room heater.
>
Provide the operator with all relevant instructions and
unit documentation for safe keeping.
>
Go through the operating instructions with the opera-
tor.
>
Answer any questions they may have.
>
Draw special attention to the safety instructions that
the operator must follow.
>
Inform the operator of the necessity to ensure that
the system is regularly inspected/maintained (inspec-
tion and maintenance contract).
>
Tell the operator to keep the instructions close to the
electrical room heater.
8 Replacement parts
You can obtain information on the available original
Vaillant replacement parts from Vaillant Werkskunden-
dienst GmbH.
9 Recycling and disposal
Both the electrical room heater and its packaging are
made primarily of recyclable raw materials.
Unit
Neither the electrical room heater nor its accessories
belong in the household waste. Make sure that the old
unit and any accessories are disposed of properly.
Packaging
The qualified servicing company that installed the unit
will take care of the disposal of the transport packaging.
