Operation (by the operator)
7.1 Start-up
Initial start-up or start-up after a repair must be carried
out only by an approved heating engineer.

Danger!
Risk of being scalded by hot water!
With the VEN, the outlet temperatures at the
draw-off points can be up to 85 °C. There is a
danger of scalding at the hot water draw-off
points and drain cock if the temperatures are
greater than 60 °C. Young children and eld-
erly persons are particularly at risk, even at
lower temperatures.

Ensure that nobody is put at risk.
>
Do not set the water temperature higher
than you actually require.

Fill the electric domestic hot water cylinder with
water (see section 4.5).
>
Plug the mains plug into an earthed socket outlet
with 230 V~ alternating current.
>
Set the temperature selector to economy mode "E".

As the unit is heating, water must be seen to
drip from the outlet valve. The indicator
lamp (
2
) lights up until the selected water
temperature is reached. The indicator lamp
goes out as soon as the selected water tem-
perature is reached.
