Installing additional collectors

18. Lay the lower edge of the next collector in the lower
mounting rail and hook it in at the clamping elements.
19. Ensure that the top clamping block of the clamping ele-
ment is above the edge of the collector.
20. Slide the collector to the first collector, observing the
hydraulic connectors.
Caution.
Risk of damage to the collector.
Improper installation of the pipe connectors
may damage the collector.

Ensure that the clamps (

) slide into the
grooves of the pipe connector (

21. Secure the hydraulic connectors with the clamps.
22. Tighten the clamping elements of the lower mounting
rail.

Positioning the top mounting rails

23. Slide all the top mounting rails until they are flush with
the lower collectors, one after the other

.
24. Ensure that the edges of the mounting rails grip around
the collectors.
25. Slide the clamping elements down to the lower collect-
ors, one after the other
(1)
.
26. Ensure that the clamping block of the clamping ele-
ments lies over the collector edges.
27. Tighten the clamping elements of the top mounting
rails.

28. Tighten all remaining clamping elements.

29. Check for proper tensioning by shaking the clamping
blocks.
30. If a clamping block can be moved, tighten the nut
again.

Installing hydraulic connections
Caution.
Leak caused by incorrect accessories.
Incorrect accessories may result in a leak in
the solar circuit and cause material damage.

Only work in the solar circuit with hard
soldered connections, flat seals, compres-
sion fittings or press fittings which have
been approved by the manufacturer for
use in solar circuits and at correspond-
ingly high temperatures.
The text that follows describes the installation of the hy-
draulic connections for the vertical collector position in the
case of "adjacent" array configuration.

Adjacent array configuration
1.
Install the hydraulic connections on the collectors, as
specified in the following sections.
Conditions
: Number of collectors: 4 … 6, Connected on opposite sides

Insert the flow (outlet)

on one side in the upper lat-
eral opening and insert the return (inlet)
(2)
diagonally
opposite this in the lower lateral opening.

Secure the connections with the clamps.
