5 Drying
Once a programme has started, it is no longer possible to change it. The pro-
gramme must be aborted.
Changing programme selection
During programme selection, a programme that has already been selected can be
changed at any time by selecting a new programme. All previously selected settings are
cleared.
Aborting programme selection
▸ Touch the button.
– Programme selection is aborted.
Duration remaining indicator
During programme selection, the expected duration of a programme is shown. This cor-
responds to a load containing similar wash items with a defined weight.
Load determination occurs after the programme start:
– In the display appears:

– The letter «h» flashes: the expected duration remaining is calculated and then dis-
played.
Depending on fabric type, the actual running time may differ from the duration
shown. The duration remaining shown – especially towards the end of the pro-
gramme – can freeze for several minutes. During this period, the letter «h» flashes
and the duration remaining is recalculated.
– The letter «h» flashes again and in the display
appears:
Calculat. remaining time 0h15
– This alternates with the level of dryness achieved.
– The time remaining is recalculated and then displayed.
Drying phases
The programme sequence for the automatic programmes has three drying phases:
▪ Drying : The washing is tumble dried until it reaches the set level of dryness. The dry-
ing programme is monitored by a moisture sensor. As soon as the required level of
dryness is reached, the «Cool down / Airing» phase starts.
▪ Cooling down / Final airing : The laundry is cooled down to a temperature at which the
risk of creasing is minimized. The duration of this phase depends on the temperature
of the laundry. «Crease guard» starts if the appliance is not unloaded when this phase
ends.
▪ Crease guard : The dried washing is moved at frequent intervals to prevent creasing. If
the additional «Ultra care» or «Easy care» function has been selected, «Crease guard»
runs 90 minutes; with all other programmes it runs 30 minutes. «Crease guard» can
be stopped at any time by opening the appliance door or by touching the button.
