9.5 Energy and water economy
General tips
▪ Wash cotton textiles with the

fabric care symbol together in the pro-
gramme for optimal energy efficiency.
▪ The most efficient programmes in terms of energy and water consumption are gener-
ally those that wash at lower temperatures and longer duration.
▪ Use the maximum wash load capacity of the particular programme.
▪ Select «Pre-wash» or «Soak» only for washing that is heavily soiled or stained.
▪ For lightly soiled washing without staining select the main programme or the addi-
tional «Sprint» function.
Spin speed
The energy consumption, noise and remaining moisture content of subsequent tumble
drying depend on the spin speed set. The higher the spin speed in the spinning phase,
the higher the noise and the lower the remaining moisture content of the washing at the
end of the programme.

Automatic door opener
Use the appliance with the automatic door opener switched on. In this way, when the ap-
pliance door opens the appliance immediately enters the lowest possible stand-by power
consumption state.
