on the appliance and mains cable carried out by service
personnel only. (see 8 Maintenance)

A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer’s Customer Service or a
similarly qualified person.

In the case of appliances with an IEC connector, the
change may be made by the customer.
9.4.1 Contact Customer Services
Make sure you have the following appliance data at the
ready:

Appliance name (model and index)

Service no. (Service)

SN
u Look up the appliance information on the display .

u Referring to appliance info on the nameplate
(see 9.5 Model plate) .
u Note down the appliance information.
u Notify Customer Services of the following: Give us the
appliance data.
w This will help us to provide you with a faster, more accu‐
rate service.
u Leave the appliance closed until customer services
arrive.
w Food stay cool for longer.
u Disconnect the power plug (do not pull on the connection
cable) or switch off the fuse.
9.5 Model plate
The model plate is behind the drawers on the inside of the
appliance.

9.6 Service & Support
The Troubleshooting section gives you valuable advice on
what to do in case of minor errors. This saves you having to
call out an engineer and avoids potential costs.
For information about the warranty, please go to

cable details). Please read these carefully.
Register your appliance today:
- online at www.vzug.com -> Service -> Garantieerfas‐
sung (Registration) or
- use the supplied registration card, if applicable.
This means we can give you the best support in the case of
a breakdown during the warranty period. You will need the
serial number (SN) and model name to register. You can find
this information on the rating plate of the appliance.

10 Shutting down
u Empty the appliance.
u Turn off the appliance (see 6.4 Settings) .
u Remove mains connector.
u Remove appliance connector if required: Remove and
move from left to right at the same time.
u Clean the appliance (see 8.4 Cleaning the appliance) .
u Leave the door open to avoid bad smells building up.
11 Disposal
11.1 Preparing appliance for disposal
V-ZUG uses batteries in some of its appliances.
In the EU, for environmental reasons, legisla‐
tion obliges the end user to remove these
batteries before disposing of old appliances.
If your appliance contains batteries, a corre‐
sponding notice is attached.
Lamps If you can remove the lamps yourself without
destroying them, also remove these before
disposal.

Take the appliance out of operation.
u
Appliances with batteries: remove the batteries. For
description, see Maintenance chapter.
u
If possible: remove lamps without destroying them.
11.2 Disposing of the appliance in an
environmentally friendly manner
The appliance still contains
valuable materials and must
be disposed of separately from
unsorted municipal waste.
