13 Care and maintenance
The impeller 1 may turn stiffly. This is construction related and does not indicate
the presence of any foreign object or defect. If the impeller does not turn, please
contact our Customer Services.
▸ Insert the foreign body trap – with the arrow-like
cam 3 pointing upwards – as far as it will go.
▸ Screw the foreign body trap in clockwise as far as
it will go.

▸ Put the drain tray back and close it to.
13.8 Cleaning the drum illumination
▸ If necessary, wipe carefully with a soft cloth.
13.9 Opening the appliance door in the event of a power failure
Wait until the washing drum is completely stationary. A washing drum that is still
rotating poses a risk of serious injury.
▸ Close the water tap and disconnect the appliance
from the mains.
▸ Open the drain tray with the flap for liquid deter-
gent.
▸ Fold the drain tray right down. If necessary, carry
out emergency draining.
▸ Remove drain tray.
▸ Remove the emergency door release tool
