Opening the appliance door in the event of a power failure

Turn off the water tap.

Switch off at the wall switch or pull the plug out of the mains socket.

Open the drain tray

– bottom front of the
appliance – by pressing the upper part and
fold right down.

If necessary, carry out emergency draining.

Remove the drain tray

Remove the emergency door release tool

from its fastening.

Insert the emergency door release tool

into
opening

and turn in the direction of the ar-
row (see arrow on appliance).
– The appliance door springs open.
Ensure that the washing drum is stationary. Do not touch the drum
while it is still in motion – risk of serious injury!
If the emergency door release tool
2
is missing, a screw driver can be
used instead.
The illustrations show the details of an appliance that opens to the
right. In the case of an appliance that opens to the left, the opening is
to the right and the release tool has to be turned anti-clockwise.
