Checking before the dive
You can carry out this last check before the dive on the beach, on the boat or on the
surface of the water in immediate proximity to the boat.
After you have put on your own gear, put the jacket with the PTG on your child and do
the following checks:
1. Check the inlet valve and the pressure relief valve by sporadic activation of the
inlet button until the pressure relief valve responds.
2. Leave the jacket fully inflated for approx. 60 seconds. On the water surface, you
may not hear the air escape, but, if there is a defect, you will notice that the jacket
is no longer so firm.
3. Check that the quick stop is functioning by pulling.
After the dive
Correct care and maintenance will guarantee you many years of.
Reliable functioning of the jacket. Please adhere to the following instructions to take
care of your jacket:
1. Fill the jacket ¼ full with fresh water.
2. Blow into the jacket, so that the water reaches everywhere.
3. Hold the jacket upside down and press on the outlet button, so that all of the water
can escape through the mouthpiece.
4. Repeat the process described above two or three times.
5. Wash the jacket with fresh water or put it into a container with fresh water.
6. Clean all valves, so that any dirt or foreign bodies are removed.
7. Hang the jacket up to dry. Protect it from direct sunlight.
8. After it has completely dried, store your jacket in a dry place (SCUBAPRO jacket
hanger).
