Adjusting the jacket
1. Your jacket has an adjustable abdominal belt which is equipped with a Velcro
closure. Therefore, easy and precise installation is guaranteed.
2. Fasten the abdominal belt first and then the chest strap.
3. Now, inflate your jacket and adjust all straps so that the jacket fits tightly yet
comfortably.
Before the dive
Practising and acting out the various possible scenarios which could occur
before, during or even after the dive reduces the risk of a dangerous situation.
Visual check:
1. Check your jacket for defective seams, holes in the material, cuts, extreme wear
and other damage. If you discover damage or are not sure, don’t use the jacket.
Have your jacket inspected by a SCUBAPRO retailer and serviced, if necessary.
2. Check the inflator for tears or damage. Look to see if sand, dirt or other foreign
bodies are in the mouthpiece or between the inlet and outlet valves.
Function monitoring:
1. Function of the oral inflation system:
Blow air through your mouth into the jacket, as described on page 10, to test the
function.

Function of the inflator’s inlet button:
Connect the LP hose which is under pressure to the inflator. Then press the inlet
button and you can thus see how the air which is streaming in is inflating the
jacket.
3. Function of the pressure relief valve:
Press the inflator’s inlet button until the jacket is fully inflated. Now let the air
stream in phases by pressing the inlet button repeatedly until the pressure relief
valve is activated. You will then hear how the air escapes noisily. Now, pull on the
pressure relief valve’s pull rope in order to test that it is functioning correctly. Check
the quick stop by fully inflating the jacket. Hold the jacket in one hand and pull on
the corrugated hose with the other hand at the same time until the valve is
activated.
