have a tendency to track more to one side.
To centre the belt on the rollers and over the
sanding base, rotate belt tracking control knob
(E). This pivots the front roller slightly causing
the belt to track across the roller. Only slight
adjustments are needed.
When the belt runs centrally on the rollers it is
adjusted correctly.

DUST EXTRACTION
Inhalation of dust particles can be detrimen-
tal to health. The dust outlet must be con-
nected with a dust extraction machine.

NOTE: Due to the outlet diameter, a size ad-
aptation may be necessary. All wood dust (in-
cluding dust from composites like chipboards
and fibre boards, etc.) is hazardous to health;
it can affect the nose, the respiratory system
and the skin. For example MDF (medium
density fibre board) which contains formal-
dehyde is a known carcinogen.

In addition to the above measures a correctly
fitted dust mask, suitable tor the activity and
in accordance to the relevant standard, must
be worn. For work activities involving expo-
sure to the fine wood dust, a mask rated to
at leas! FFP2 should be used.

GENERAL SANDING INFORMATION
Select the correct belt grit to obtain the de-
sired finish. The higher the grit number the
finer the finish. For removing large amounts
of material a 60/80 grit is ideal. When remov-
ing paint from a wood surface the belt grit
will have a tendency to clog. Replace abrasive
belts when clogged with material or when
surface/edge has rips, cracks or worn areas.
NOTE: Abrasive belts are a consumable item.

Always sand along the grain of a workpiece.
Occasionally check the belt alignment and
adjust as necessary.

AUXILIARY HANDLE ADJUSTMENT (FIG.5):
Use the auxiliary handle.
Loss of control can cause personal injury. For
comfort and access the auxiliary handle can
be adjusted to one of three positions. Loosen
locking knob (G). When handle position is
set, secure the locking knob.

DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT (FIG.6):
To access the drive belt, remove the pro-
tective cover (H) which is secured with two
cross slot screws. Slide the toothed belt (I)
off the small drive pulley first. Fit the new
belt on the large pulley and gently work the
belt over the small pulley. Never operate the
sander with the cover removed.

MAINTENANCE

FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY ALWAYS TURN THE
MAIN SWITCH ON THE MACHINE “OFF“ AND
REMOVE THE PLUG FORM THE POWER SUP-
PLY BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTE-
NANCE OR TROUBLE SHOOTING.
