Hearing protection should be worn when us-
ing belt sanders. 
NOTE: Remove the plug from the socket before 
carrying out adjustment servicing or mainte-
nance.
Prior to connecting this machine to the power 
supply ensure the trigger lock is disengaged. 

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

TRIGGER SWITCH (FIG.1): 
Ensure the sander is raised off the workpiece. 
To activate the belt sander, press trigger (A).
To operate the sander for a prolonged period 
press and hold trigger (A). Press and hold lock-
ing button (B).

Release trigger (A). Release button (B). The 
sander will now continue to run until trigger 
(A) is pressed, automatically releasing button 
(B). Wait for complete run-down before put-
ting the tool aside. This machine is intended 
for sanding wood only. Replace abrasive belts 
when clogged with material or when surface/
edge has rips, cracks or worn areas. 

VARIABLE SPEED DIAL (FIG.2)

:

The variable speed dial is marked 1 to 6 and 
correspond: 

NOTE: Sanding speed depends on material and 
surface finish etc. Do not apply excess pressure 
as this will overload the machine.

REPLACING/ADJUSTING THE SANDING BELT 
(FIGS. 3 & 4):
Abrasive belts are a consumable item. 
To release the belt tension, slide lever (C) to-
ward the front of the machine, moving the 
front roller assembly (D) inward. 

This enables the worn belt sufficient slack 
for removal. When fitting the new abra-
sive belt, ensure the direction of rotation 
arrows marked on the inside of the belt 
match the arrow marked on the housing. 
With the belt located centrally on the roll-
ers, slide the tensíon lever fully backward 
to grip the belt. Plug the machine back into 
the power supply and operate the sander 
while observing the belt. The new belt will
