3.2 Controls and Indicators
The controls and indicators for operation of the UL-Series
Lifts are shown in Figure 3-1. The names and functions
of the controls and indicators are listed in Table 3-1. The
index numbers in the figure correspond to the index
numbers in the table. The operator shall know the
location of each control and indicator and have a
thorough knowledge of the function and operation of
each before attempting to operate the unit.

1 Key Switch Turn switch to ON to provide
power to the Controls and to OFF to
cut power to the Controls.
2 Emergency Stop Push red button in to cut off
Switch power to all functions (OFF). Pull red
button up to provide power (ON).
3 Power On Push this button along with either the
Button Up or Down Button to lift or lower the
Platform.
4 Up Button Push this button along with the Power
Button to lift the Platform.
5 Down Button Push this button along with the Power
Button to lower the Platform.

6 Emergency Turn the knob counterclockwise to
Lowering Valve open the valve and lower the Platform.
Turn the knob clockwise to close the
valve for normal operation.
7 Orbit Level After properly installing the Outriggers,
level the base of the machine by
adjusting the Outriggers until the bubble
is within the center circle.
8 Battery Charger Verify charger voltage switch is set to
12 volts. Set charger control to
"conventional" setting. Charger ammeter
should indicate charge rate. When
battery is fully charged, charger
automatically turns itself off. Disconnect
extension cord.
9 Outrigger Indicate that outrigger interlock switches
Indicator Lights are engaged.
10 LED Indicates that optional Emergency Down
from the platform battery needs replacing.
