Kits consists of hardware, mounting frame, 

basket(s) and leveling bar(s). 

Unpack bundles, separate and identify compo-

nents using the Parts Section, "Rolling Harrow 

Attachments".

Set the MAXIMUS disk on the ground and block 

against all movement.

1.  Install the jackstands (71402B) on the 

mount weldment (71812B) and secure the 

jackstands with the locking pin (97212).

2.  Using a hoist and/or lifting devices rated 

for 150 lbs. minimum, position the mount 

weldment (71812B) along the frame tubes 

of the MAXIMUS disk. Install clevis pins 

(9950) and lynch pins (9951). Lower jack-

stands to ground.

3.  Remove front U-Bolts (91434) and lock-

nuts (9800) from spring arm assemblies 

(84763B). Position the spring arms on the 

mount weldment according to the overhead 

layouts for your unit. Secure with U-Bolts 

and locknuts.

4.  Remove U-Bolts (85620) and locknuts 

(9801) from rear of spring arms. Position 

basket(s) from spring arms according to 

overhead layouts. Secure with U-Bolts and 

locknuts.

and hex nut (9394-010), (Fig. 3-10). Additional 

adjustments may be necessary once the disk 

is  operating  in  the  field.  See  the  OPERATIONS 

section for more details.

oPTIoNAl SIDE ShIElD ASSEMbly

ASSEMBLY

Unpack side shield bundle, separate, and identify 

all components according to page 35 of the 

PARTS section.

Side shields may be mounted in the LOW or 

HIGH position, depending on the orientation of 

the mounting bar (71808B). If you are uncertain 

which position is needed, try the LOW position 

first.  Decide  which  position  is  desired  and  at

-

tach the mounting bars (71808B) to the shields 

(71807B) with leg on mounting bar pointing up 

(HIGH position) or down (LOW position). Secure 

with 1/2-13 x 1 1/4 capscrews (9390-100) and 

locknuts (9800).

Slide mounting bars over the outside frame 

tube on disk. The bent leg of the side shield 

should face the front and point in toward the 

front disk gang. For initial set-up, place the 

front of the side shield in-line with the front 

edge of the front 2x6 frame tube on the disk. 

Adjust the shield to have 4-6" lateral clearance 

to the disk gange at the closest point. Secure 

with 1/2-13 x 4 1/2 capscrews (9390-112), lock
