oPTIoNAl blADE CoVERS

Unpack blade covers, separate, and identify 

all components according to page 34 of the 

PARTS section.

Blade covers will mount on the front and rear 

side of each gang under the bearing standards 

(Fig. 3-9).

fRoNT GANGS

Remove the locknut (9802) from the 3/4-10 x 4 

1/2 capscrew (9390-154) on the inner bearing 

standard. Mount scraper bar (72981B) to the 

inner bearing standard and secure with the 

previously removed 3/4-10 locknut (9802) and 

1/2-13  x  1  1/2  capscrew  (9390-101),  flat  washer 

(9405-088), and locknut (9800).

REAR GANGS

The assembly is similar to the "FRONT GANGS" 

except for the inner and outer bearing standards 

are reversed.
Optional blade covers (71805B, 72931B, 72939B) 

may be installed in combination with the blade 

scrapers. In this case, scrapers should be in-

stalled  first,  followed  by  the  blade  covers.  Blade 

covers will then mount to the underside of the 

scraper brackets (72981B, 72980B, and 72979B).

ASSEMBLY

REVERSE DISKING

The assembly is similar to that for "NORMAL 

DISKING" except the mounting bars will mount 

on the normal front-side of the disk gangs (Fig. 

3-6 & 3-8).

10.  When reverse disking, the scrapers must 

be installed to the front-side of the gangs 

for proper function. Reverse disking with 

the scrapers installed for "NORMAL DISK-

ING"  may result in poor performance and 

machine damage.

Optional blade covers (71805B, 72931B, 72939B) 

may be installed in combination with the blade 

scrapers. In this case, scrapers should be in-

stalled  first,  followed  by  the  blade  covers.  Blade 

covers will then mount to the underside of the 

scraper brackets.
